New Moon on Monday Astrology

Jupiter Action!

28 October 2011

Jupiter’s getting all sorts of action today - a trine from Pluto (exact at 9:46 am pacific daylight time) and an opposition from the Sun (exact at 6:42 pm pdt). To top it off, the Moon just moved into Sagittarius, the sign that Jupiter rules.

Jupiter represents expansion. Astrologers have called him the “Great Benefic” for decades and associated him with luck and money and super good times. But expansion can also mean exaggeration and Jupiter can be known to exacerbate things that are already going wrong. It can be associated with weight gain and gambling and taking things way too far.

That said, Jupiter is the most good-natured of all the planets. And if you’re on the right road, he’ll totally make things even better. Jupiter is hope and faith and the belief that more is always on the way.

This morning’s trine with Pluto is a relatively rare occurrence, and only happens every several years. However, due to each planets going in and out of retrograde, when it does happen, you get about 3 exact passes over the course of a year. This is the second out of those three, the first happened in early July and the last will happen in March, 2012. Remember both planets are in earth signs, and plant good seeds.

The opposition from the Sun happens once every year, when the Sun travels through the opposite of the sign Jupiter is currently transiting. Right now Jupiter’s in Taurus and the Sun is in Scorpio. Taurus and Scorpio each have everything to do with resources. That makes it a great time for planting good seeds where it has to do with the money stuff.

The Moon is in Sagittarius once every month. This time around, with all the Jupiter action going on, it’s there to spotlight and support the seeds you’re planting.

Jupiter is currently retrograde but will be turning direct on Christmas Day. He sure can be like Santa Claus sometimes.

Good Luck!
