NEW MOON ON MONDAY ASTROLOGY

GENERAL FORECAST:

Mercury comes out of retrograde tomorrow evening (at 5:43 pm pacific daylight time, 8:43 pm on the East Coast).  Remember: Mercury gets up to its trickiest business during the time it’s switching direction.  Keep taking your time with things for the rest of the week and you’ll likely have all the space and energy you need to keep moving through the mundane and showing up for the fun stuff.  This is not the week to take anybody for granted.  A square between Venus in ambitious Capricorn and Saturn in the sign of relationships over the weekend is all about establishing healthy boundaries and making sure everybody’s putting their fare share in.  Next week: Venus moves into Aquarius, the New Moon in Capricorn, and Jupiter stations Direct (finally!)…

ARIES

Things are going faster than you’d planned, and speeding up by the minute.  Until this weekend, when you might just get stopped in your tracks.  Venus in Capricorn squaring Saturn in your opposite sign is all about putting the brakes on a certain relationship until you can get some specifics figured out.  This absolutely isn’t a bad thing, but it requires taking some responsibility.  Luckily, that’s a side you’ve been strengthening all year long.  Take the time you need to talk things out and you’ll be seeing the benefits as soon as next week.

TAURUS

Your Venus ruler is confronting the planet Saturn on Sunday morning, and that could be bringing you some reality-checks all week long.  Stay as open minded as possible in any confrontation before jumping into defensive mode or even worse, your stubborn, very most armored side.  Keep it logical and you’ll be able to untangle all the miscommunications that were absolutely nobody’s fault.  You’re not being challenged so much as you’re being dared to do your very best.  Next week’s New Moon in a fellow Earth sign will be opening up all sorts of brand new doors. 

GEMINI

Mercury’s making an about face in your opposite sign.  That’s the kind of tricky activity that could be shaking things up all over the place, especially in relationships.  At the very least, it’s bringing plenty of interesting distractions.   Remember to keep an eye on the long road and not just the fun to be had at the moment.   Things will be getting all sorts of dreamy as soon as next week, and those days will be even better if you make the right choices right now.  Do what you can to keep your feet on the ground. 

CANCER

Be careful of saying “I told you so…”.  This week’s square between Saturn and Venus is bringing out lots of other people’s lessons to be learned.  . You’ve probably seen most of them coming, but it’s important to remember that people need your sympathy more than any judgment this week.  Even better, using that side of yourself now will help you get reacquainted with it all over again, and that’s going to make things that much more romantic as soon as next week’s New Moon.  Keep it charming: Venus in your opposite sign is trying to get your attention. 

LEO

Tomorrow and Wednesday are Go days.  This doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be in the greatest mood of all time, but you will have your share of green lights and gumption, and all the energy behind you to keep moving.  Use it.  The brakes-on vibes this weekend could be keeping you in homebody mode, so it’s good to get stuff of the way while you’re feeling it.  Mercury back to business in a fellow fire sign won’t be hurting anything.  Next week: the planet Venus moves into your opposite sign and the focus moves back to relationships. 

VIRGO

The days start making more sense as the week goes by and your Mercury ruler gets back to business in Sagittarius. The square between Venus in Capricorn, a fellow Earth sign, and strict Saturn is actually quite to your benefit:  putting limits on situations that have been getting out of hand and giving you the chance to catch up with yourself.  Do as much of that as you can now, before Jupiter comes out of retrograde in Taurus, your other fellow Earth sign, and enables your circumstances to keep growing exponentially.  Right now, it’s all about staying focused.  

LIBRA

Things have started moving again, but be prepared for some delays this weekend, when your Venus ruler in Saturn’s hometown sign squares Saturn itself in yours.  As much as this is bringing some unwelcome challenges, the gold you’ll gain from getting past them is worth a million good days or more.  Hold your head high, man up to even the drudgiest expectations and you’ll be seeing rewards in the form of privileges you certainly weren’t expecting by Sunday.  You get all your grace back next week, when Venus enters Aquarius, a fellow Air sign.  

SCORPIO

These are slower days in Scorpio town, but there’s plenty of drama unfolding all around you.  Everything you’re encountering now is illustrating an important lesson you need to learn for yourself.  The benefits of paying attention are epic, but most importantly:  you’ll be able to take some revelations and put them to use before any repercussions from past discretions come back to get you.  In other words, you’ve got plenty of opportunity to right some old wrongs before getting caught.  Next week: Jupiter Direct in your opposite sign puts the focus back on an important partnership.   

SAGITTARIUS 

You’re feeling way better, and ready to tackle absolutely anything.   Mercury stations direct at the height of your sign tomorrow evening and that’s pushing everything else back into business as well. Never mind what you might have missed in the meantime, be prepared to start staying one pace ahead.  With your Jupiter ruler preparing to return to forward motion as we speak, you’ll pretty much guaranteed to be stepping on the gas pedal for the rest of this year.  Set your sights straight now, whatever you’re choosing to focus on is about to expand into epic proportions. 

CAPRICORN

Venus has been up to all sorts of moves since she entered your sign in late November.  That’s been bringing you lovely distractions, but not without some drama attached.  The square between Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Libra (a sign that Venus rules) happens early Sunday morning.  That’s bringing you a million reasons to set certain things straight and put better boundaries on anything that’s getting in the way.  As long as you’re including the other side’s hopes and wishes in the mix, you’re liable to come to some very welcome compromises. 

AQUARIUS

Take the first steps, no matter how unsure of them you might be.  Pretty much the only thing that’s going to start untangling your current dilemma is constant movement.  Even better, that kind of continuous activity is what will attract exactly what you need right now straight into your life.  Mercury’s return to forward motion in a friendly Fire sign is bringing plenty of opportunities for complete serendipity, and you’re being guided straight to just what you’re looking for, as long as you can see that for yourself. Pay attention to your dreams. 

PISCES

We’re past the eclipse, Mercury’s direct, things are moving forward, and everything’s a lot less weird.  Pisces might be a little melancholy about that, but only because it’s being forced back into plain old reality.  Luckily we’re in the midst of the holiday season, a force you can easily lose yourself in.  The more joy you can bring into anybody else’s world right now, the more you’re about to realize some very specific things you were always meant to be doing for yourself.
