Mercury will station DIRECT tomorrow afternoon (at 3:03 pm pacific daylight time).  

BUT - before you start with your collective sighs of relief, remember that it’s still in Shadow Phase until September 9th, when it returns to the point where it first turned Retrograde (at the 2nd degree of Virgo).  Keep your back up plans, and be extra careful today - Mercury Retrograde gets the very trickiest right when the planet is “stationing” (changing direction). 

Remember too - that Mercury Retrograde is not completely negative by any means.  Of course we’ve had our fair share of lost keys and lockouts and phones breaking down, and plenty of miscommunication. Good lord, has anybody else noticed the number of tiny mistakes (like which days and dates things really happen) on my blog lately? I’ve been fixing typos all over the place!  But there’s also the positive manifestations.  For instance, I’ve seen more than a few “look what I just found, forgot I even had this!” posts on facebook in the past few weeks.  Locking myself out this week forced me to take a step back and have lunch with a friend, and I’ve seen countless faces around town that I haven’t seen in months or even years lately.  

Here’s another Mercury Retrograde story:  my mom comes from a super tiny little town in southern Colorado - nobody’s ever heard of it.  My boyfriend works in Studio City here in California, miles and miles away.  Last week he saw a picture of said super tiny little town in a coworker’s office and we discovered that not only does his coworker know my mom, he’s her very best friend’s brother!  Small world stuff, you know?  My boyfriend’s been working with him the entire two years we’ve been dating - but it makes perfect sense that we didn’t discover the connection until a Mercury Retrograde.  Things from the past resurface.
