Is anybody else having a hard time getting started? Today’s the first day of the Astrological New Year - but we’re still in the Dark of the Moon. That’s the last couple of days before the Moon turns new again each month, and they’re typically sluggish and slow. Add Mercury, Mars, and Saturn all Retrograde - and things aren’t moving quite as fast as the Sun in Aries would prefer.

Last year at this time, there was all sorts of crazy rush it up go go go movement going on in Aries. This year, things are still building their momentum.

Just wait for it. Thursday morning’s New Moon in Aries will kick off a chain of events that won’t seem to stop until the Springtime’s over. We’re definitely in for some interesting times. In the meantime, just keep getting ready. Mercury returns to forward motion on April 4 and Mars does the same (thankfully) about a week after that. That’s when everything really starts to move again. Start preparing now, and you’ll have absolutely no problems keeping up.

Cheers!

The Sun moved into Aries overnight (at 10:15 pm pdt in...

The Sun moved into Aries overnight (at 10:15 pm pdt in California). The Sun’s annual entrance into Aries = the Spring Equinox and thus, the Astrological New Year. Make it a happy one :)

This year’s New Moon in Aries happens Thursday morning (7:37 am pdt and 10:37 edt) —- that’s when things will really start moving, now’s the time to cement your intentions.

BE GOOD!

Aries is the very first sign. The Sun’s return to the first degree of the zodiac marks the very beginning of the brand new astrological year. Fresh start city.

(This energy will have a slow start but keep building through the New Moon in Aries - the first New Moon of the astrological year - early Thursday morning. Keep at it.)

23 December 2011

Jupiter will return to forward motion on Christmas Sunday afternoon (2:09 pm pacific daylight time).

Jupiter’s my favorite planet. When Jupiter’s going right it can feel just like Santa Claus.

That’s some rad synchronicity, right?

Happy Christmas, y’all.

Adeline

Since it's Thursday, let's talk about Jupiter

22 December 2011

Jupiter represents expansion.

It’s big and buoyant and generous and ready for anything. Jupiter brings growth to the planets and points it touches. That can mean luck but also just exaggeration.

Jupiter is always optimistic.

The glyph for Jupiter is the crescent of spirit over the cross of matter:

Jupiter rules Sagittarius, the 9th sign, and the 9th House, which is the House of higher education, foreign travel, philosophy, experience and beliefs. Religion falls in the 9th House. So does Rock and Roll.

Jupiter typically spends about a year in each sign, and begins a new cycle every 12 years. Your Jupiter Return, the beginning of the cycle is always an auspicious time.

Jupiter in your chart shows where you do things way big. It can also be where you’re lucky - not necessarily in windfall ways, but where it seems like something’s always looking out for you. But remember, that luck can easily be turned into exacerbation of a problem if the energy is directed in the wrong ways.

Since Jupiter typically spends a year travelling through each sign, people who were born in the same year will most likely have Jupiter in the same sign.

Here are some absolutely oversimplified ways Jupiter might manifest through the signs or houses:

Jupiter in Aries (or the 1st House): Big Personality

Jupiter in Taurus (or the 2nd House): Expensive Taste

Jupiter in Gemini (or the 3rd House): Big Talker

Jupiter in Cancer (or the 4th House): Big House

Jupiter in Leo (or the 5th House): Epic Creativity

Jupiter in Virgo (or the 6th House): Health Nut and/or Hyper-Organized

Jupiter in Libra (or the 7th House): Epic Romance

Jupiter in Scorpio (or the 8th House): Big Inheritance

Jupiter in Sagittarius (or the 9th House): Big Adventure

Jupiter in Capricorn (or the 10th House): Big Responsibility

Jupiter in Aquarius (or the 11th House): Utopian Beliefs

Jupiter in Pisces (or the 12th House): Epic Empathy

Right now Jupiter is about to turn from retrograde to forward motion at the first degree of Taurus- more about that tomorrow. Jupiter will remain in Taurus until June of 2012. Wherever (what House) Taurus is located in your chart is where you’re about to see a big growth in your circumstances.

Get Lucky,

The Moon moved into SAGITTARIUS at 4:03 am...

22 December 2011

The Moon moved into SAGITTARIUS at 4:03 am (pacific standard time, 7:03 am on the east coast).

Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius travels far and wide. It loves freedom and adventure. Sagittarius is the 9th sign, so it’s associated with the 9th House - that’s higher education, strong beliefs, storytelling and a lifelong search.

When the Moon’s in Sagittarius, the mood gets more philosophical.

~

Mercury is lagging behind the Sun in Sagittarius, where it’s been retrograde for most of the month. The Moon will meet up with Mercury later this evening (7:10 pm pacific standard time). When the Moon is conjunct Mercury, especially in big mouth strikes again Sagittarius, people really start talking.

*
The Moon spends about two and a half days in each sign. The Moon will remain in Sagittarius until early Saturday morning, when it moves into Capricorn, the 10th sign.

Capricorn the Sea Goat

21 December 2011

The SUN enters CAPRICORN tonight at 9:30 pm (pacific standard time).

Capricorn is the Cardinal Earth sign. It’s ambitious and conservative and it likes results. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn is sober and serious - but it also has a wonderfully sarcastic side. Capricorns can be some of the funniest people you know.

Capricorn rules the 10th House - the house of reputation and career and authority figures. It’s very concerned with success, and it wants to demonstrate that success in outward ways. Capricorn is all about working hard to achieve things. Capricorn earns it. But Capricorn also has a slightly magical side. It’s represented by the Sea Goat, a creature from fairy tales. It’s just incredibly choosy about who it shares that with.

Here are some absolutely oversimplified ways planets and points might manifest when they fall in Capricorn (or the 10th House, or have significant contact with Saturn):

The Sun: Most Likely to Succeed

The Moon: Serious Side

Mercury: Conserves Words

Venus: Natural (Earthy) Beauty

Mars: Workaholic

Jupiter: Hard Luck

Saturn: Great Expectations

Uranus: Question Authority *Uranus was in Capricorn between 1988 and 1996 - so if you were born during those years you probably have this placement.

Neptune: Blurred Boundaries *Neptune was in Capricorn between 1985 and 1998 so if you were born during those years you most likely have this placement.

Pluto: Fixing the Cracks… Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008. Before that, it hadn’t been in the sign since the American Revolution. Pluto in Capricorn has everything to do with the things our world has been going through these past four years, especially the money stuff. Lots more on that to come.

Hold Your Head Up High,

Adeline

Venus in Aquarius

20 December 2011

VENUS moves into AQUARIUS this morning/early afternoon (at 10:26 am pacific standard time, 1:26 pm on the East coast).

Venus is values, it’s what we’re attracted to. Aquarius is the Fixed Air sign, it needs its freedom and its individuality. Venus in Aquarius likes things a little weird.

Venus is moving faster than the Sun right now, and has only been in Capricorn for a little over three weeks. That sobered up everybody’s aesthetics and had us valuing ambition. Venus in Capricorn shops high-end.

Venus in Aquarius is more like a thrift store, or a vintage boutique. Venus in Aquarius is good weather for showing off your stranger sides. Venus in Capricorn keeps up with the Jones’s, it likes to fit in. Venus in Aquarius is the exact opposite: she marches to her own drum and kinda likes being the freak.

Venus in Aquarius will be making a square to Jupiter in Taurus later on this evening (6:21 pm pst). That’s the kind of energy that could exaggerate circumstances with the love stuff or lead to all sorts of excess. A sextile between Venus and the planet Uranus (the planet that rules Aquarius) late tonight (11:57 pm pst) throws a wild card into the mix. Be ready for surprises.

Venus will be in Aquarius until Friday, January 13th.

Free to Be You and Me,

The Moon moved into Scorpio at 2:33 am (pacific...

20 December 2011

The Moon moved into Scorpio at 2:33 am (pacific daylight time).

Scorpio is the Fixed Water sign. Scorpio runs deep. Ruled by Pluto, Scorpio is provocative and powerful and intense, and it gets people to pay attention.

Scorpio is the 8th sign, so it’s associated with the 8th House - that’s sex, death, and taxes or way more simply: things we all share that are completely taboo.

When the Moon’s in Scorpio, the mood gets more provocative.

~

Right now, the planet Jupiter is hanging out at the earliest degrees of Taurus, Scorpio’s opposite sign. That means that every time the Moon goes through Scorpio, it makes an opposition to Jupiter, and that’s weather that’s all about exaggerating (or exacerbating things). Watch for what’s going on in your story between tonight and tomorrow morning when the Moon opposes Jupiter (3:14 am pacific daylight time)

*

The Moon spends about two and a half days in each sign. It will be in Scorpio until early Thursday morning when it moves into Sagittarius, the 9th sign.

Horoscopes for December 19-25, 2011

NEW MOON ON MONDAY ASTROLOGY

By Adeline Leigh

GENERAL FORECAST:

The days are about to start growing longer again. The Sun’s entrance into Capricorn each year marks the Winter Solstice, and the Sun enters Capricorn on Wednesday night, just as Venus departs the sign for Aquarius. Both the Sun and Venus will be making all sorts of contact with the outer planets throughout the week, so expect things to stay social, super busy, and potentially surprising. This year’s New Moon in Capricorn happens on Christmas Eve (10:06 am pacific standard time, 1:06 pm on the East Coast). A New Moon is great weather for a holiday weekend as it is, but here’s the icing on the cake: Jupiter comes out of retrograde on Christmas afternoon. Talk about Santa Claus. Happy celebrations y’all!

***If you know your Rising Sign and Moon signs, be sure to read for those too!

***Here’s a link to last week’s horoscopes

***Here’s a link to find NMOMA on Facebook ~ daily birthdays + transits + more!

ARIES

This weekend’s New Moon is an important one for you. Take full advantage of the fresh energy by making as many good intentions as you can for yourself. You’re being challenged to man-up in some pretty big ways right now, but the thing about it is, you’re totally up for the part. You have added doses of authentic confidence and grace this week, and this is enabling you do get through any circumstance with a smile on your face. Think of it as a dress-rehearsal for the absolutely epic year you have coming up ahead.

TAURUS

Watch out for getting excessive in one part of your life to make up for how you’re being disappointed in another. It’s important to process the way a certain situation is turning out differently than you’d expected by making any necessary adjustments before you proceed. Saturday’s New Moon in Capricorn is the perfect time to start moving ahead. You’ve been running against the wind for the past four months as Jupiter travelled backward through your sign. The Great Benefic’s return to forward motion Sunday afternoon will be pushing you forward in big ways. Time to get ready.

GEMINI

Venus enters Aquarius (a fellow Air sign) tomorrow morning, and that’s going to pick up the pace in all sorts of delightful ways. Look for things you’ve been daydreaming about to surprise you unexpectedly and be prepared to get exactly what you’ve been wishing for this Christmas. That said, it’s as important as always to remember real life’s still waiting. Use the weekend’s New Moon to congratulate yourself on how well you’ve been keeping up with it so far, and figure out some improvements you can make to keep up even better in the future.

CANCER

The New Moon in your opposite sign is always an excellent time to take fresh steps in relationships. If you’ve been thinking of making a proposition, or taking something to the next level, now’s the time. Don’t be afraid to show off how sure you are of yourself. There are certain friendships in your life you tend to take at face value, without ever questioning what benefits you might be missing. Look for opportunities this week that are all about giving you way more than you’ve been getting so far from a certain situation.

LEO

Be prepared for the unexpected and you’ll have no problem keeping your cool if or when it happens. You have way more chances of getting the spotlight this week when you use your creative side over your dramatic one. There’s plenty of activity going on around you so more chances for surprise – as well as synchronicity. Make it a point to remember that it’s up to you to shape the energy you feel in a way that creates the kind of mood you’re looking for. This week, you’ve got all the ingredients you need to make that mood absolutely magic.

VIRGO

Right now, it’s all about taking some big steps ahead. The New Moon in Capricorn the day before Jupiter returns to forward motion is beyond auspicious weather for setting any plans you’ve been making in motion. As busy as you already are, this is still the week to take some time out for yourself to shape up your goals for the New Year. Even better, the more you start getting the word out as far as what you’re about to initiate, the more you’ll start to see you’ve got enormous support behind you. Get ready for an epic new year.

LIBRA

Venus gets into Aquarius tomorrow morning, and that makes the general mood that much more social, which is great news for you. You’ll be doing your best this week to keep up with a yet again overstuffed schedule but chances are, having enormous fun doing it. Saturday’s New Moon from Capricorn, a sign that challenges yours, is all about pushing you to prove how well you can handle some extra responsibility. You’ll have all the luck in the world thanks to Jupiter returning to forward motion in Taurus, your sister sign.

SCORPIO

Asking the right questions in the right ways can get you all the answers fast. Don’t get lazy this week. As much as it seems like it’s still all about everybody else, you should be prepared to take the lead role and/or spotlight unexpectedly in the coming days. Saturday’s New Moon in Capricorn is the perfect time to start setting intentions about communicating mindfully to get the information you need. You’re perfectly aware of how much things are changing, but there are certain things you need to be sure of before you’ll know which choice to make.

SAGITTARIUS

Here’s where everything really starts moving. It’s exactly what you’ve been waiting for, but could still seem overwhelming at first. Jupiter, the planet that rules your sign, has been retrograde in Taurus for the past four months, leaving you with all the loose ends you still needed to process. But its return to direct motion this weekend (in conjunction with a brand New Moon) is all about pushing you to be with it, adventurous, and completely here and now. Get ready to leave your sentimental side in the shadows for a while to come.

CAPRICORN

Changing of the guard. Venus leaves your sign for Aquarius and the Sun moves in -just in time for Saturday morning’s New Moon. The New Moon is always the time for fresh starts and new intentions, but those energies become even stronger when it’s the New Moon in your sign. Jupiter’s return to forward motion in Taurus, a fellow earth sign the very next day puts an auspicious spin on your entire year ahead. Keep celebrating the good you’ve got coming up as well as all the good you’ve already got going on. Happy Birthday!

AQUARIUS

Here comes Venus. The planet that’s all about the beauty and the grace gives you an extra boost of both for the next three and a half weeks. Be prepared to charm everyone around you to pieces as we move into 2012. That’s great for all the good you’re looking to accomplish for yourself, but your utopian spirit is also the proving to be the right example for the rest of us. The only caution is in overextending yourself. Don’t try to do too much at once and you’ll able to figure things out better than you’ve been able to in ages by midnight on Saturday.

PISCES

Before the planet Neptune was discovered in 1846, Jupiter ruled over Pisces. That makes Jupiter your “traditional” ruler, a grandfatherly figure of sorts. Jupiter’s return to forward motion during the New Moon this weekend is giving you a new lease on a certain situation you’ve been expecting to be disappointed by. Get ready to start feeling a thousand times more positive and remember how much easier that is to do when you take positive action. You’ve got plenty of preparing to do between now and February when your Neptune ruler comes home to your sign for a 14 year stay.

18 December...

Luis Ricardo Falero - the Balance of the Zodiac

18 December 2011

The Moon moved into Libra at 12:06 am (pacific standard time).

Libra is the other sign ruled by Venus (Taurus is the first). Libra wants things to be pretty, and it’s very concerned with appearances. Not a fan of conflict, Libra tends to do whatever it needs to do to keep the mood in the room on a light note.

Libra is the 7th sign, and rules the 7th House of partnerships and marriage.

When the Moon’s in Libra, people pair up.

~

The planet Saturn has been in Libra since late 2009 and will remain there until October of 2012. That means that every time the Moon enters Libra, it will eventually meet up with Saturn. Saturn is authority. It’s limits and boundaries and what you should be doing. When the Moon hooks up with Saturn, the mood gets responsible at best, guilty at worst. Watch your mood tomorrow night, the Moon’s conjunction will be exact at 10:19 pm (pacific standard time).

*

The Moon spends about two and a half days in each sign. The Moon will be in Libra until overnight Monday to Tuesday when it moves into Scorpio, the 8th sign.

Venus Square Saturn

16 December 2011

Venus in Capricorn will be making an exact square to Saturn in Libra early Sunday morning (at 6:18 am pacific standard time).

That’s weekend weather that can put the full brakes on the love and the romance stuff. But here’s the good news:

Venus and Saturn are currently doing something called “Mutual Reception”. That means that Venus is in Capricorn, the sign that Saturn rules, and Saturn is in Libra, a sign that Venus rules. In other words, they’re in each other’s territory. It’s like they swapped houses. Or wives. Or lives. In any case, it lends some empathy. Even though they’re in square, the two planets are somehow working together.

Venus in the setting of Capricorn is ambitious, and wants to get whatever it needs to right in order to get ahead.

Saturn in the setting of Libra is fair. It’s making sure that everybody’s putting in their fair share, and that includes taking responsibility.

Squares always bring changes, and this particular square is all about setting some very important boundaries to who’s giving what in your current situation. But it’s a good thing, and it’s going to make everything better in the end.

Step on the brakes for a second,

The MOON moves into VIRGO at 7:58 pm...

15 December 2011

The MOON moves into VIRGO at 7:58 pm (pacific standard time).

Virgo is the other sign ruled by Mercury (as well is Gemini, the 3rd sign). It’s concerned with order and procedure and getting things right. Virgo wants to create the perfect environment, for everybody else as well as itself.

Virgo is the 6th sign, and it rules the 6th House of Work, Health, and Service. Virgo is associated with things that require procedures - see?

When the Moon is in Virgo, the Moon gets more orderly. People want to get things right.

~

Right now, the planet Mars is taking an extended tour of Virgo. So every time the Moon moves into Virgo, it wil. be meeting up with Mars. That can give the general mood some gumption, but also some competition, or even aggression. See what’s happening in your world around the time the Moon makes its exact conjunction to Mars tomorrow night (at 11:34 pm pacific standard time).

*

The Moon spends about two and a half days in each sign. The Moon will be in Virgo until overnight Saturday to Sunday, when it moves into Libra, the 7th sign.

Leo vs. Sagittarius

‘

14 December 2011

Here’s Keef and Mick.

Mick’s a Leo, Keith’s a Sagittarius. Leo and Sagittarius are both Fire signs, and Fire has everything to do with rock and roll.

Fire signs are passionate. They’re creative and warm and generous and spirited. They can be self-centered, they’ve got spark, they’re, you know… fiery.

Leo’s the Fixed Fire sign. It’s prideful. It’s ruled by the Sun and it Gets Seen. Mick Jagger’s the epitome of the Leo vibe. Mick even struts when he sits.

Sagittarius is the Mutable Fire sign. It’s adventurous. It’s ruled by Jupiter and it wants to experience things. Sagittarius goes All the Way. Keith Richards is a rad example of a Sagittarius. He’s L I V I N.

There are three signs of each element: one Cardinal, one Fixed, and one Mutable. (3 Qualities x 4 Elements = 12 signs).

Aries is the Cardinal Fire sign. It’s Impulsive. It’s ruled by Mars and it pushes past whatever it has to. Aries does not fuck around. Aretha Franklin is an Aries, so is Elton John.

The three Fire signs have plenty in common, but they express it in different ways.

Back to the Stones: Brian Jones was a Pisces (duh.), Charlie Watts and Ron Wood are both Geminis (the opposite sign to Keith’s Sagittarius), Mick Taylor is a Capricorn and Bill Wyman’s a Scorpio.

LIVIN,

The MOON moves into LEO at 1:48 pm...

13 December 2011

The MOON moves into LEO at 1:48 pm (pacific daylight time).

Leo is ruled by the Sun. It’s associated with the heart and creativity and absolute generosity too. Leo’s the Fixed Fire sign, it’s warm.

Leo is the 5th sign, and it rules the 5th House of creativity and children and the things we do for fun. The 5th House (and Leo) have everything to do with what you’re passionate for.

When the Moon’s in Leo, the mood gets more passionate, and dramatic, and generous too.

~

Remember the planet Uranus in Aries? Whenever the Moon moves into Leo (or Sagittarius), a fellow Fire sign to Aries, it will make an immediate trine to the planet Uranus, and that will be bringing the individual out in all of us. The trine between the Moon and the planet Uranus will be exact this afternoon at 2:59 pm (pst).

*

The Moon spends about two and a half days in each sign. The Moon will be in Leo until Thursday night when it moves into Virgo, the 6th sign.

Mercury Direct!

13 December 2011

Mercury will station DIRECT (ie. return to apparent forward motion) this evening at 5:43 pm (pacific standard time).

Chances are, the past three weeks have left you with some messes to untangle. Look for almost everything to be resolved by the end of the year, when Mercury gets past its shadow phase.

In the meantime, the weather up there is giving us some space to go ahead and get some stuff accomplished. This is a good time for celebrations, even if they do involve some tangles.

Oh the web,

By Adeline Leigh

GENERAL FORECAST:

Mercury comes out of retrograde tomorrow evening (at 5:43 pm pacific daylight time, 8:43 pm on the East Coast). Remember: Mercury gets up to its trickiest business during the time it’s switching direction. Keep taking your time with things for the rest of the week and you’ll likely have all the space and energy you need to keep moving through the mundane and showing up for the fun stuff. This is not the week to take anybody for granted. A square between Venus in ambitious Capricorn and Saturn in the sign of relationships over the weekend is all about establishing healthy boundaries and making sure everybody’s putting their fare share in. Next week: Venus moves into Aquarius, the New Moon in Capricorn, and Jupiter stations Direct (finally!)…

***If you know your Rising Sign and Moon signs, be sure to read for those too!

Come join us over there?

ARIES

Things are going faster than you’d planned, and speeding up by the minute. Until this weekend, when you might just get stopped in your tracks. Venus in Capricorn squaring Saturn in your opposite sign is all about putting the brakes on a certain relationship until you can get some specifics figured out. This absolutely isn’t a bad thing, but it requires taking some responsibility. Luckily, that’s a side you’ve been strengthening all year long. Take the time you need to talk things out and you’ll be seeing the benefits as soon as next week.

TAURUS

Your Venus ruler is confronting the planet Saturn on Sunday morning, and that could be bringing you some reality-checks all week long. Stay as open minded as possible in any confrontation before jumping into defensive mode or even worse, your stubborn, very most armored side. Keep it logical and you’ll be able to untangle all the miscommunications that were absolutely nobody’s fault. You’re not being challenged so much as you’re being dared to do your very best. Next week’s New Moon in a fellow Earth sign will be opening up all sorts of brand new doors.

GEMINI

Mercury’s making an about face in your opposite sign. That’s the kind of tricky activity that could be shaking things up all over the place, especially in relationships. At the very least, it’s bringing plenty of interesting distractions. Remember to keep an eye on the long road and not just the fun to be had at the moment. Things will be getting all sorts of dreamy as soon as next week, and those days will be even better if you make the right choices right now. Do what you can to keep your feet on the ground.

CANCER

Be careful of saying “I told you so…”. This week’s square between Saturn and Venus is bringing out lots of other people’s lessons to be learned. . You’ve probably seen most of them coming, but it’s important to remember that people need your sympathy more than any judgment this week. Even better, using that side of yourself now will help you get reacquainted with it all over again, and that’s going to make things that much more romantic as soon as next week’s New Moon. Keep it charming: Venus in your opposite sign is trying to get your attention.

LEO

Tomorrow and Wednesday are Go days. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be in the greatest mood of all time, but you will have your share of green lights and gumption, and all the energy behind you to keep moving. Use it. The brakes-on vibes this weekend could be keeping you in homebody mode, so it’s good to get stuff of the way while you’re feeling it. Mercury back to business in a fellow fire sign won’t be hurting anything. Next week: the planet Venus moves into your opposite sign and the focus moves back to relationships.

VIRGO

The days start making more sense as the week goes by and your Mercury ruler gets back to business in Sagittarius. The square between Venus in Capricorn, a fellow Earth sign, and strict Saturn is actually quite to your benefit: putting limits on situations that have been getting out of hand and giving you the chance to catch up with yourself. Do as much of that as you can now, before Jupiter comes out of retrograde in Taurus, your other fellow Earth sign, and enables your circumstances to keep growing exponentially. Right now, it’s all about staying focused.

LIBRA

Things have started moving again, but be prepared for some delays this weekend, when your Venus ruler in Saturn’s hometown sign squares Saturn itself in yours. As much as this is bringing some unwelcome challenges, the gold you’ll gain from getting past them is worth a million good days or more. Hold your head high, man up to even the drudgiest expectations and you’ll be seeing rewards in the form of privileges you certainly weren’t expecting by Sunday. You get all your grace back next week, when Venus enters Aquarius, a fellow Air sign.

SCORPIO

These are slower days in Scorpio town, but there’s plenty of drama unfolding all around you. Everything you’re encountering now is illustrating an important lesson you need to learn for yourself. The benefits of paying attention are epic, but most importantly: you’ll be able to take some revelations and put them to use before any repercussions from past discretions come back to get you. In other words, you’ve got plenty of opportunity to right some old wrongs before getting caught. Next week: Jupiter Direct in your opposite sign puts the focus back on an important partnership.

SAGITTARIUS

You’re feeling way better, and ready to tackle absolutely anything. Mercury stations direct at the height of your sign tomorrow evening and that’s pushing everything else back into business as well. Never mind what you might have missed in the meantime, be prepared to start staying one pace ahead. With your Jupiter ruler preparing to return to forward motion as we speak, you’ll pretty much guaranteed to be stepping on the gas pedal for the rest of this year. Set your sights straight now, whatever you’re choosing to focus on is about to expand into epic proportions.

CAPRICORN

Venus has been up to all sorts of moves since she entered your sign in late November. That’s been bringing you lovely distractions, but not without some drama attached. The square between Venus in Capricorn and Saturn in Libra (a sign that Venus rules) happens early Sunday morning. That’s bringing you a million reasons to set certain things straight and put better boundaries on anything that’s getting in the way. As long as you’re including the other side’s hopes and wishes in the mix, you’re liable to come to some very welcome compromises.

AQUARIUS

Take the first steps, no matter how unsure of them you might be. Pretty much the only thing that’s going to start untangling your current dilemma is constant movement. Even better, that kind of continuous activity is what will attract exactly what you need right now straight into your life. Mercury’s return to forward motion in a friendly Fire sign is bringing plenty of opportunities for complete serendipity, and you’re being guided straight to just what you’re looking for, as long as you can see that for yourself. Pay attention to your dreams.

PISCES

We’re past the eclipse, Mercury’s direct, things are moving forward, and everything’s a lot less weird. Pisces might be a little melancholy about that, but only because it’s being forced back into plain old reality. Luckily we’re in the midst of the holiday season, a force you can easily lose yourself in. The more joy you can bring into anybody else’s world right now, the more you’re about to realize some very specific things you were always meant to be doing for yourself.

The Moon moved into CANCER at 5:26 am (pacific daylight time).

Cancer is the sign that the Moon itself rules, when the Moon moves into Cancer, it’s like it’s coming home.

The Moon is feminine energy, it’s our emotions, what we need. In Astrology, the Moon’s the Mother Figure, and Cancer is the sign of the Mother. Cancer is the Cardinal Water sign. It is the 4th sign and rules the 4th House of home, family, and roots.

When the Moon’s in Cancer, we think more about where we come from, and also what we need. The Moon in Cancer makes you think about your mama.

~

The planet Pluto has been in Capricorn, the sign opposite Cancer, since 2008 and will be there for 12 long more years. Every time the Moon enters Cancer, it opposes Pluto and brings the energy of what’s happening during the era of Pluto in Capricorn more into focus. The Moon will be exactly opposite Pluto in Capricorn at 6:03 pm tonight (pacific standard time).

*

The Moon changes signs every two and a half days. The Moon will be in Cancer until Tuesday afternoon, when it moves into Leo, the 5th sign.
